Dr. Timothy E. Quill, co-editor of the new book, Voluntary Stopping Eating and Drinking: A Compassionate, Widely Available Option for Hastening Death, will discuss the clinical, ethical, legal and institutional issues that arise in the context of choosing to stop eating and drinking at the end of life or for those suffering from dementia.

In this installment of our Staying Stronger Together national webinar series, we are joined by Compassion & Choices African American Leadership Council member Ottamissiah “Missy” Moore as she shares her story celebrating the importance and power of end-of-life planning.

This webinar will educate viewers on various palliative and end-of-life emergencies, teach the basic signs and symptoms associated with these emergencies and the treatment plans associated with them, as well as help clinicians recognize which patients are at risk of developing certain emergencies.
