The Communications Director of Programs for Compassion & Choices will lead the development and implementation of an integrated marketing strategy, to include digital and traditional communication efforts, to promote and advance C&C’s brand, and the work of the Integrated Programs and Constituency Programs areas as well as other priority programs for the office of the CEO.

Reporting to the National Director of Marketing and Communications, the Communications Director of Programs collaborates with the National Director of Constituency Programs, the Director of Integrated Programs and the Office of the President/CEO to conduct environmental scans, increase the profile of the president/CEO, expand the brand of Compassion & Choices, increase awareness and engagement of our programs and tools, generate media coverage, expand our supporter base, increase relevance and respect among key audiences, generate revenue, cultivate strategic partnerships and collaborations with like-minded organizations and expand our online presence (web & social).

They will provide expert guidance offering innovative and creative solutions and executing on those ideas.

The Development Coordinator position serves on the Development Services team (within the Development department) and contributes to 5 key areas of work:

  1. Planning and preparing for special events held across the country from behind-the-scenes.
  2. Manage database with duties that range from running queries and creating reports, to editing individual donor records, and data hygiene (householding, deduping, etc.).
  3. Drafting foundation grants and reports that draw upon a pool of approved documents, and preparing final materials for submission.
  4. Providing administrative assistance to the Chief Development Officer (CDO) to arrange travel, communicate with donors to secure meetings, manage expenses, and other tasks as assigned.
  5. Contributing in general ways to the Development Team’s work including, but not limited to, serving as back-up for other team members, planning team gatherings, executing a variety of donor cultivation mailings, general administrative work, and other duties as assigned.

Ability to work in Washington D.C. preferred. Portland also an option.

The National Director, Digital Strategy oversee the vision, strategy, development, operations and ongoing evolution and maintenance of website and digital products and services across the organization to increase brand image and drive deeper donor insights, acquisition, retention and growth. Oversees operations in the rapidly changing digital sectors like mobile applications and digital fundraising, as well as web-based information management and marketing. Serve as an early adopter to grow and upgrade organizational capability in the digital area and seamlessly integrate digital marketing into each platform.

Philanthropy Gift Officer, North East Ability to work remotely! The Philanthropy Gift Officer, North East is primarily responsible for cultivating and soliciting five and six figure gifts from prospects and major donors in the North East and primarily in New York City metro area. This position will also be asked to solicit and secure C4 gifts for the organization’s C4 activities. The ideal candidate must have a track record of soliciting and closing principal and significant major gifts and demonstrated long term philanthropic relationships while consistently meeting fundraising goals. Experience closing six figure gifts and above from individuals is preferred.

The Senior Communications Associate position is primarily responsible for developing and managing the communications strategy for Compassion & Choices’ advocacy and outreach campaigns in consultation with senior communications staff. The Senior Advocacy Communications associate has overall responsibility for creating, managing and implementing the in-state media and digital strategy, and providing leadership for and driving the development, planning, and coordination of access state media work. You will also be responsible for storyteller program in access states, and for providing technical assistance to and developing quarterly plans in the can for those states.

A minimum of 4 years’ experience – at least half on Capitol Hill, in a state legislative office, on a political campaign, or at a highly known and effective issue advocacy organization, is required.

The Web Content Manager creates, organizes, adapts, and curates content for use on C&C digital platforms (website, social media channels) that is informed by audience analysis and user experience research and advances the C&C mission. Support a range of content development projects, such as updating content on websites, writing plain language content, monitoring website metrics, and creating governance documents. Strong knowledge of WordPress content management system is a must. Good judgement and initiative in performing assigned tasks and completes projects on schedule. Excellent interpersonal relations with all levels is a must.
