Status of Medical Aid in Dying

While the MN End of Life Options Act gained meaningful visibility in the 2025 session, a number of complex political and procedural dynamics at the Capitol ultimately prevented the bill from being heard or advancing. As this was a budget year, legislative bandwidth was limited, with added constraints and competing priorities dominating the agenda.

HF 2998 and SF 3215 have carried over to the 2026 legislative session.
