Join us for a thoughtful discussion with Diane Rehm, host of NPR’s “On My Mind” podcast. In the upcoming film and new book, When My Time Comes, she explores the issue of medical aid in dying through interviews with terminally ill patients and their families, as well as physicians, ethicists, and representatives of those who vigorously oppose the movement. The documentary is currently in post-production and will appear on public television next year. We will also be joined by Kim Callinan, president and CEO of Compassion & Choices, the nation’s oldest and largest nonprofit organization that advocates for improving and expanding health care options for the end of life and offers free planning resources for individuals and families facing difficult decisions related to a terminal illness. The Raben Group’s Elliot Williams will lead the discussion.
