Status of Medical Aid in Dying

House Bill 598 was introduced on January 30, 2025, and received a hearing in the Population Health Subcommittee on March 4, 2025. While the bill did not advance, failing by a vote of 8–2, we remain deeply grateful to the lawmakers who helped elevate this critical conversation.

Senate Bill 640 was introduced the following day, on January 31, 2025, and has been referred to the Senate Judiciary Committee for consideration.

These developments are part of the growing movement to ensure end-of-life options are available to more people. Thank you for standing with us as we continue this important work.</p
