On April 27, 2026, the Ohio Medical Aid in Dying Act (House Bill 835) was introduced by Reps. Synenberg, Lett, Somani and Rader. On May 13 the bill was referred to the House Health Committee.
The Ohio General Assembly session operates on a year-round session schedule that runs through December 31, 2026. January 2027 will mark the beginning of the next two-year session; bills introduced in 2025/2026 will not carry over.
