But I’ve also seen too many others where patients’ pain and suffering are prolonged, causing needless pain and sorrow for them and their loved ones. That’s why I’m in favor of our state joining 10 others, including Maine, Vermont, and New Jersey — plus Washington D.C. — to legalize the compassionate option of medical aid in dying, also known as Death with Dignity. The bill in our legislature is The End of Life Options Act (H.2381 and S.1384). It has more support than ever before from 66 House members and 18 senators, including nearly every legislator in Western Mass.”
