On October 30th, Compassion & Choices supporter and friend Barbara Mancini, who last year was arrested and charged with assisted suicide in the death of her terminally ill 93-year-old father for handing him his prescribed morphine, wrote Brittany Maynard an email. She didn’t expect to get a response; she knew Brittany was in her final days.
Barbara just wanted to let Britany know how much she respected her courage, and her decision. Brittany responded and said, “It meant so much for me to receive your kind letter the other day, especially as I’m preparing for my own passing.”
