On January 17, 2024, HB 285 was introduced Representative Josie Raymond and Representative Adrielle Camuel to authorize medical aid in dying in Kentucky. It was assigned to the House Committee on Committees, however, this bill did not receive a hearing.
On January 8, 2020, for the first time in Kentucky, HB 224 was introduced, which would authorize medical aid in dying in Kentucky. The bill was referred to Health and Family Services but not considered any further in the 2020 session.
