Faced with a terminal diagnosis, Kentucky residents deserve the full range of options for care at the end of life, including medical aid in dying. Medical aid in dying allows terminally ill adults to get a prescription they can take to end their life peacefully.

On February 11, 2021, HB 506 – the Our Care, Our Options Act, was introduced in the KY legislature. While this bill did not advance during this legislative session, this was the first time medical aid in dying was introduced in Kentucky and we look forward to continue to build support and awareness in the state.
