We envision a society that affirms life and accepts the inevitability of death, embraces expanded options for compassionate dying, and empowers everyone to choose end-of-life care that reflects their values, priorities, and beliefs.

End-of-Life Care Planning

Our End-of-Life Information Center offers resources on end-of-life options and to help guide these important discussions with loved ones, healthcare providers and others close to us.

Demand for expanded end-of-life options is strong — in red states, in blue states, across demographic groups, professional affiliations and religions and people from many communities are united to bring about change now.

Legal Advocacy

Compassion & Choices’ innovative legal advocacy program helps people achieve better medical care and gain equal access to the full range of end-of-life options.

Political Advocacy

We advocate for policies that empower people to control their own healthcare decisions at the state and federal level.

Access Campaigns

Our access program supports hospitals and healthcare systems in states where laws have been passed so that all terminally ill people who are eligible will have access to medical aid in dying.

Federal Relations

Compassion & Choices’ Federal Relations team works in the halls of Congress and federal agencies on the ground in Washington, D.C., to protect medical aid-in-dying laws and educate members of Congress and federal policymakers about all end-of-life care options.
