Terminally ill Minnesotans are currently denied access to a peaceful death. The Minnesota legislature has considered, but not yet enacted, the End-of-Life Option Act, which, like Oregon’s Death with Dignity Act, would authorize medical aid in dying for mentally sound, terminally ill adults.
If you agree that Minnesotans should have the freedom to make end-of-life decisions according to their own values and priorities, please sign this petition.
Marianne Turnbull, a retired social worker, is advocating for the option of medical aid in dying while facing a terminal cancer diagnosis. Click here to read an excerpt of her testimony at the Minnesota House Health and Human Services Policy Committee informational hearing on September 11, 2019. If you would like to support the right for her and all Minnesotans to choose a peaceful death, sign this petition.
