On January 9, 2023, Rep. Matt Pierce re-introduced the End of Life Option Act (HB 1011) that would authorize medical aid in dying in the state.

On January 4, 2021, Rep. Matt Pierce re-introduced the End of Life Option Act (HB 1074) that would allow individuals with a terminal illness who meet certain requirements to make a request to an attending provider for medication that the individual may take to bring about a peaceful death

On January 7, 2020, Rep. Matt Pierce re-introduced the End of Life Option Act (HB 1020) that would authorize medical aid in dying in the state.
2019
On January 7, 2019, SB 300 End of Life Options Act was introduced by State Senator Lonnie Randolph. It was referred to the Committee on Health and Provider Services. A companion bill (HB 1184.) was introduced by State Representative Matt Pierce introduced a companion bill, The bill was referred to the Committee on Public Health. They did not advance past their assigned committees.
