Physicians and other healthcare professionals provide a critical link in our commitment to compassionate patient care. If you have received a request from a patient for information on aid-in-dying, please have your patient call our End-of-Life Consultation Program at 800.247.7421.
If you are a physician committed to expanding choices at the end of life to include legal aid-in-dying, your help is greatly needed. We have the support of many dedicated physicians, nurses and other providers throughout the U.S., who serve as our advisors. They would welcome the opportunity to talk with you and answer any questions you have. Of course, all conversations are completely confidential.
In addition, the End-of-Life Consultation counselors can:
- mail information, including brochures you may give to your patients or colleagues.
- send you a professional packet containing relevant information and journal articles focused on patient autonomy and choice at the end of life.
- process your request for a speaker for a staff meeting, ethics rounds or conference focused on end-of-life issues.
- send you an application to become a volunteer
